Environmental, Social and Governance Strategy

At Pedders, we are committed to promoting sustainability, ethical conduct and positive social impact. We are dedicated to:

  • Compliance with Laws and Regulations: complying with applicable laws, regulations, and standards in all areas where we operate. This includes but is not limited to workplace laws, environmental regulations, and product safety standards.
  • Ethical Conduct: conducting our business ethically and with integrity, complying with all relevant laws and regulations, and ensuring transparent and accountable business dealings.
  • Human Rights: respecting human rights, prohibiting discrimination and harassment in the workplace, providing equal employment opportunities, and promoting gender equity, diversity and inclusion.
  • Workplace Health and Safety: providing a safe and healthy working environment for all Workers. This includes implementing appropriate safety control measures, providing necessary training, and promoting a culture of safety throughout the business.
  • Product Quality and Safety: delivering high-quality products that are safe, reliable, and compliant with all relevant quality and safety standards.
  • Environment: minimising our environmental impact by promoting sustainable practices in our operations. This includes reducing waste and emissions, using resources efficiently, promoting recycling and complying with environmental regulations.
  • Responsible Supply Chain: working with suppliers and partners who share our commitment to ethical business practices.
  • Reporting: encourage all Workers to report legal or regulatory non-compliance, breaches of our policies, and other disclosable matters.

Pedders Supports the UN Global Compact


Pedders recently became a signatory to the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact. Further, Pedders have commenced a framework to positively impact four of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Our efforts will focus on positively impacting: Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (SDG 9), and Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12).

 

Pedders ESG Report


The preparation of the Pedders ESG Report  provides Pedders the opportunity to assess the impact we have on the environment, our people (social) and the community we operate in (governance).

This ESG Report covers our sustainability performance across our Pedders owned worksites for the year ended 30th June 2024.

Pedders is committed to ethical, sustainable, and socially responsible procurement and we expect the same high standards from the companies which supply products to Pedders.

Our Modern Slavery Policy reflects our commitment to transparency and accountability for Modern Slavery risks in our supply chain. Pedders expects the same high standards contained in the Modern Slavery Policy from all of our Suppliers.

Pedders is committed to ensuring Modern Slavery is not taking place in any part of our business operations, nor in any of our supply chains.  Our Modern Slavery Statement 2024 details the actions Pedders has undertaken to assess and address modern slavery risks in its own operations and supply chains. This Statement was voluntarily lodged with the Australian Government’s Online Register for Modern Slavery Statements pursuant to the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth).

Our Supplier Code of Conduct details the minimum expectations of our suppliers in the areas of: Business Integrity; Responsibly Sourcing; Labour and Human Rights; health and Safety and Environment.

Our Responsible Sourcing Policy reflects our commitment to source products in a socially responsible manner.
