Warranty For Pedders Brand Name Products
How Long Does The Warranty Last?
Pedders Shock Absorber Service Pty Ltd (ACN 004 848 435) (Pedders) provides a comprehensive two-year or 40,000km (whichever comes first) nationwide warranty (Warranty Period) on Pedders brand-name products designed for standard road use (Products). The Warranty Period starts on the date of purchase of the applicable product.
What Does The Warranty Cover?
Any Products that are found to have manufacturing defects in material and workmanship during the Warranty Period.
What Does the Warranty NOT Cover?
This Warranty does not extend to, nor will Pedders be liable for, defects associated with or arising from:
• Misuse and/or wilful damage
• Neglect
• Incorrect operation
• Accidental damage
• Damage caused by movement or transportation by other parties
• Freight damage (where freight is not paid for by Pedders)
• Any modifications or alterations to Products not approved by Pedders
• Any alterations or modifications to Products made by non-authorised persons
• Any non-standard use of Products which may include, but is not limited to, driving in irregular conditions, driving on unregistered roads or activities such as racing, mining or off-roading.
How Do I Make A Claim Under The Warranty?
This Warranty is redeemable at any Pedders Suspension & Brakes outlet Australia-wide. If a problem arises in relation to a Product covered by this Warranty, please contact:

Who Can Claim Under The Warranty?
Customers who originally purchased the Product must have proof of purchase to redeem this Warranty.
The Warranty applies from the date the applicable Product is purchased until the earlier of: 2 years from the date the product is purchased OR the date on which the product has been in use for 40,000km. If Pedders is unable to make a determination in relation to the 40,000 calculation, the Warranty by default, will apply 2 years from the date of purchase.
Any claim under the Warranty must either:
• be made within this claim period; or
• if the issue giving rise to the claim arises in the claim period, notified to Pedders within no more than 4 weeks following the end of the claim period.
What Will Pedders Do?
If Pedders determines that the Product and customer are covered by the Warranty, Pedders will, at Pedders’ option, repair or replace the Product.
If Pedders cannot replace the Product for any reason, including if the Product has been discontinued or is out of stock, Pedders will, at Pedders option, replace the Product with a similar product or refund the customer if no equivalent replacement is available.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing by Pedders, customer's will bear the cost of making a claim under this Warranty. Repair or replacement is the customer’s sole remedy under this Warranty. Pedders will not be liable under this Warranty for any incidental or consequential damages of any kind.
The original warranty period will remain and will not restart with any replacement item, regardless of the time remaining under the original Warranty Period.
No representative of Pedders, or any authorised dealer or repairer of Pedders, is authorised to make any changes or modifications to this Warranty.
AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
The benefits given by this Warranty are in addition to, and do not affect, the statutory rights and remedies available to the customer under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
