The Champion Returns: Scott Pedder Full-Time in the ARC 2024

Pedders is proud to announce that Scott Pedder is set for a full-time comeback in the 2024 Bosch Motorsport Australia Rally Championship (ARC). Scott, with the Pedders Rally Team, will compete in the entire 2024 season, driving a 2018 Skoda Fabia R5, alongside renowned co-driver Glenn Macneall.

The comeback is bolstered by the support of Maximum Motorsport, a prestigious West Australian team, handling the preparation and management of the car. This marks the return of the Pedders Rally Team for the first time since 2004. Scott is also excited to introduce 14 new team sponsors.

The choice of the 2018 Skoda Fabia R5 was influenced by Scott Pedders’ experience with the car and the support from Maximum Motorsport, who have a strong connection with Skoda in Europe, providing valuable setup insights.

Preparing for the Rally Season

The car is currently on its way from the UK, once it arrives, there will be a Melbourne launch and extensive testing before the Rally of Canberra.

Pedders as a business is eager to leverage this opportunity for promoting Pedders business, with plans for activation and promotion around the ARC. Leading up to each rally, the Pedders team will hold special events for franchisees, managers, and VIP customers, including educational sessions and thrilling hot laps in the Skoda R5. Pedder’s focus is not just on competing but also on demonstrating the impact of chassis dynamics and the effects of vehicle weight – key safety aspects for Australian roads.

Aiming for the Championship Title

With a wealth of rallying experience and familiarity with the car and events, Scott Pedder is confident in challenging for the championship win. His strategy includes consistently finishing each rally and recognizing the importance of reliability in the championship race.

As Scott looks forward to competing again, this year holds special significance: a decade since his last win, 20 years since Pedders Rally Team’s last official race, and nearly 50 years of Pedders’ involvement in Australian rallying.

The 2024 ARC season kicks off with the Rally of Canberra on April 5-7.
