Caroline Pedder, Chief of Brand and Culture is thrilled to announce that Pedders Suspension and Brakes have joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative — a voluntary initiative for the development, implementation and disclosure of responsible business practices.
The UN Global Compact is a call to companies all over the world to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and to take action in support of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
As only the second Australian automotive parts company to become an official signatory to the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, Pedders are committed to leading the Australian automotive aftermarket industry toward a sustainable future.
“Pedders' commitment to the UN Global Compact principles underscores our pledge to lead the Australian automotive aftermarket industry towards a sustainable future," said Caroline Pedder. "We are excited to join this global initiative and to contribute to the collective efforts in promoting sustainability and corporate responsibility."
Further, Pedders have commenced a framework to positively impact four of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Our efforts will focus on positively impacting: Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (SDG 9), and Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12).
A key requirement for participation in the UN Global Compact is the preparation of an annual report that outlines our continuous efforts to integrate the Ten Principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations, and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals. Caroline confirms Pedders commitment to preparing this report and looks forward to being an active participant in the UN Global Compact.
