Pedders is extremely proud to announce its membership in the Fleet Forum, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting cleaner, safer, and more effective humanitarian transport in developing nations. The Fleet Forum empowers its 48 members, including UNICEF, World Vision, Save the Children, the UN Refugee Agency, the World Health Organization, and the World Food Program, through professional fleet management. This support enables these organisations to deliver lifesaving and life-changing aid to communities in need.
Pedders are honoured to support the Fleet Forum's humanitarian mission by providing opportunities to educate and raise awareness on fleet safety, handling, and performance.
Effective aid and development operations rely heavily on the mobility of an organisation's personnel, which is intrinsically linked to the quality and management of their vehicle fleet. This encompasses the quantity, quality, condition, and types of vehicles, and how they align with the roads and terrain in the operational areas.
Despite their importance, vehicles pose significant risks. Tragically, over the past few decades, road traffic crashes have been a leading cause of death and serious injury among humanitarian staff. The aid and development sector has a responsibility to uphold the universal goals it has set for the global community by providing a safe and reliable transport system and ensuring safe workplaces for their workforce.
Pedders is committed to educating these humanitarian organisations on vehicle safety, especially in the towing and load-handling sectors. Our invitation to join the Fleet Forum cements our position as a world leader in developing products that enhance vehicle safety and as experts in raising awareness about vehicle safety.
By collaborating with the Fleet Forum, we aim to contribute to safer, more efficient humanitarian transport, ultimately helping to protect and save lives in communities around the world.
