Pedders Awarded For Innovation & Excellence by Industry Peers

Pedders is proud to have been recognised by the Australian automotive and caravan industries earlier this month as the business scored multiple awards across two separate events held in Melbourne.

Pedders, an Australian family-owned business that prides itself on innovation, recently took part in the bi-annual Australian Automotive Aftermarket Expo awards ceremony in Melbourne. The prestigious awards event, held by the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association (AAAA), recognises automotive aftermarket brands for their success and innovation in several key areas and business departments such as product, systems, culture and marketing.

Pedders is extremely proud to have been awarded the trophy for Most Innovative New Aftermarket Product (Parts) for the brand’s Australian-first LoadRyder Onboard Weight Scales system. As a brand that prides itself on innovation, it was extremely satisfying for the LoadRyder team and the wider Pedders business to receive this award after the years of development and hard work went into delivering this game-changing product to market in 2021.

Over the last twelve months Pedders has embarked on a significant systems roll-out across its network of over 70 stores nationally including a new ERP and specially developed in-store experience program dubbed WorkshopIQ. WorkshopIQ is a complete in-store experience system for staff and customers that includes integrated booking and job functionality, vehicle parts look-up, vehicle reports and job cards. This range of features allows for seamless data collection and communications, increased transparency with customers and a more polished in-store experience.

The system is a completely custom build that was designed and commissioned by Pedders to meet the businesses unique requirements, and ultimately brought to life by technology and systems partner Pronto Woven. The system is a prime example of Pedders’ innovative culture that extends to all facets of the business.

As an extension of this project to improve customer experience, Pedders also simultaneously took on a rebranding exercise across all Pedders stores and Authorised Dealers which included new internal and external signage at all sites to reflect the new Pedders Suspension & Brakes business name. A huge amount of work went into this project on behalf of the marketing, franchising and operations teams.

As a result of this work, the entire Pedders team was extremely proud to be awarded the AAAA Excellence in Repair & Service (Chain) award for the WorkshopIQ system as well as the business rebrand. Pedders aims to be an industry-leader in all areas of the business and this award is a testament to that belief and business culture.

To top off an extremely successful week for Pedders, the brand was awarded a third award at the Victorian Caravan, Camping and Touring Supershow for Best Stand in Show. The Pedders team would like to thank Brad and the team at Custom Solutions Group for building an award-winning display stand!
