All Pedders team members are supported and encouraged to seek professional development and learning opportunities to enhance their skillset and succeed in their role as a Pedders Person.
Pedders Head Office employees are entitled to up to 5% of base salary contribution towards approved professional development courses and up to five days paid Learning & Development Leave per year to undertake courses and opportunities that will aid them in their specific role. This fantastic initiative has been deployed as part of Pedders’ ongoing commitment to Learning & Development, continual improvement and positive workplace culture.
Pedders Head Office team members could be entitled to development opportunities such as face-to-face and online courses, membership to LinkedIn Learning, memberships to industry associations relevant to their role, conferences and seminars, and subscriptions to relevant publications. The opportunities to up-skill and continuously improve are endless, and it is all part of building a positive and successful team culture at Pedders.
Leading by example, Pedders Managing Director Scott Pedder has taken up the development opportunity and will be undertaking the Stanford University Executive Business Program in June this year to build on his skillset. Other senior team members at Pedders have also taken on management courses.
The Pedders Head Office Learning & Development initiative is part of the wider Pedders group development strategy that aims to attract, retain, motivate and upskill great Pedders People while also building a positive team culture and employment brand. The Pedders Learning Academy seeks to enhance franchise, store and warehousing development opportunities in key areas to build franchisee and employee success.
As part of its ongoing commitment to Learning & Development Pedders also sponsors industry-specific scholarship programs – such as the Australian Fleet Management Association 2022 Pedders Scholarship program.
