Revving Up for Success: A Look at Jackson Rice’s start to 2023

Pedders Suspension & Brakes is proud to support the outstanding performance of young gun driver, Jackson Rice, in the first quarter of 2023. Jackson has been showcasing his capability and prowess in the TA2 Muscle Car Series and Bathurst 6-Hour Races, and Pedders are looking forward to seeing Jackson’s extraordinary performance continue over the remaining year.

Kicking the year off at the TA2 Muscle Car Series Round 1, Jackson and his team showed impressive car pace, securing second place in the championship with only eight points separating them from first place. The competition is tough, but Jackson is evidently up for the challenge, and we can’t wait to see him fight for the title throughout the year.

Next was the Bathurst 6-Hour, Jackson and his co-driver Jordan Sinni faced some challenges during the weekend, yet their determination and hard work paid off. On Friday, during the practice sessions, they discovered a small turbo boost problem with the car, but the Osborn team quickly fixed the issue. They qualified 5th in class on Saturday and were revving up to fight for a podium or even a win.

Jordan started the race on Sunday, driving the car from 43rd to 35th, before handing it over to Jackson. Jackson drove the car from 40th to 18th outright and 2nd in class, catching up with the leader. However, just as the end of his stint approached, a small vibration started to become apparent, so he pitted, putting Jordan in the car for his second stint. Unfortunately, ten minutes into Jordan’s second stint, the driveshaft let go, putting an end to the team’s charge. It was a weekend of what could have been, as the lead car in class also had a failure and retired one hour before the end of the race.

Despite the disappointment, both Jackson and Jordan enjoyed their first Bathurst 6-Hour experience, adding more endurance racing experience to their resumes and gaining more laps at the mighty Mount Panorama circuit. In addition, the Osborne Motorsport team won the best-presented award for the weekend, presented by Supercheap Auto, as the cars looked fantastic on track and on TV, attracting plenty of attention and exposure.
