03/05/2021

Pedders is proud to have been selected to participate in the Tradeswomen Australia Workplace Diversity Project. The project is an industry first initiative designed not only to prevent mental injury or illness, but to improve the mental wellbeing across automotive businesses through diversity and inclusion.

At Pedders, we understand that our people are the core to our success and our ability to maintain our trusted reputation for providing specialist knowledge. We nurture a strong family culture and are committed to the development and wellbeing of all our people.

Pedders actively promotes a mentally healthy workplace and welcomes the Tradeswomen Australia project as part of our ongoing mental health and well-being initiative.

Scott Pedder, Managing Director of Pedders says “we recognise that mentally healthy workplaces benefit everyone – our people, our business and the broader community. We are committed to promoting mental wellbeing, minimising workplace risks to mental health, supporting our employees experiencing a mental health issue and reducing the stigma associated with mental conditions.” He continues “we value our role in nurturing a mentally healthy workplace and welcome the positive outcomes from our involvement in the Tradeswomen Australia Workplace Diversity Project.”

The Workplace Diversity Project aims to support businesses to create environments that embrace diversity and inclusion through their recruitment, employee support, and workplace practices. Pedders Victorian based company stores, our national warehouse and spring manufacturing plant located in Melbourne will be the focus of the two-year Workplace Diversity Project along with other automotive and aftermarket parts businesses across Victoria.

The Workplace Diversity Project is run by WorkSafe Victoria’s Workwell Mental Health Improvement Fund, dedicated to improving mental wellbeing and prevention measures across Victorian industries.
