In May 2023, the Pedders Group came together to celebrate success, to learn, and to to inspire a better journey as people, leaders and as a wider business.

The Pedders National Conference held in Cairns this year was an outstanding success and a great experience for our franchisees, store staff, and head office employees. We commemorated all aspects that make being part of the Pedders community a matter of pride.

This years conference focus was on Better Journeys. Since our humble beginnings in 1950, we have been working tirelessly to transform how the business works and innovates to ensure that every person who gets behind the wheel has a safe and reliable journey, no matter where their destination may be. At Pedder’s, our focus is not only on the customer’s journey but also on the journey of our employees, franchisees, business partners, and loyal consumers.

Since the early 1980s, the Pedders National Conference has become an iconic event and has significantly contributed to the fostering of our family ethos over the years. This conference provides a prime platform for our team to express their enthusiasm for the automotive world, craft unforgettable moments with co-workers and friends, and cultivate enduring relationships.

A cornerstone of the National Conference is the prestigious Awards Dinner ceremony where the business celebrates the achievements its store network and team members. This year the dinner was at “The Tanks” in Cairns and was hosted by none other than television presenter and Motorsport Driver Grant Denyer

At Pedders we like to recognise and celebrate success, and the Awards Dinner is an important component of this. This year Pedders announced 24 awards and two Hall Of Fame inductees.

Darren Giudes, Multi Franchise Owner was inducted into the franchisee Hall of Fame. Darren has been with the business for over three decades and has made significant impact with his Trade, Stock and Business Process focus over his time at Pedders.

Adam Gillick, Senior Executive Brand & Marketing, was the second inductee into the Hall Of Fame this year. Over the last 20 years, Adam has had a significant impact on the Pedders Group through consistent innovation and results in our marketing efforts. Adam has been an integral part of the Head Office team for many years and has helped amplify the brand into the digital world.
