A weekend of consistency and strong pace saw Scott Pedder and Co-driver Glenn Macneall take their first win of the 2024 Bosch Motorsport Australia Rally Championship at the rally of Queensland this past weekend. The duo shined in heat 1, winning every stage which gave the team a positive swing in momentum to build on for the rest of the weekend.
Sunday saw Pedder and MacNeall take second place during heat 2, almost scoring back to back heat wins until the pair were hindered by a puncture after the first two stages. Pedder and Macneall charged on, only just missing out by 10 seconds to championship rivals Harry Bates and Coral Taylor. But thanks to their consistent results all weekend, it was still enough to secure the overall victory in Queensland, making it the first ARC win in 10 years for Scott and the team.
After experiencing a challenging end to the previous round at Forest Rally in WA, where the team encountered an engine issue during the 3rd stage of heat 2, Pedder emphasized the positive signs that could be taken from the event. The focus was set on Queensland, with the aim to leave with the victory. With the team well prepared for the Queenland Rally, cosistency and strong pace has been a key strategy throughout the season in the teams pursuit for the ARC title. Pedder now sits second in the championship standings on 196 points, 11 points behind leader Harry Bates.
