Leno explains: “The idea behind the car was that whenever I would read
road tests, including Road & Track’s, they liked the V-8 Camaro but
thought it plowed a little bit, a little front-end heavy. Everyone
seemed to like the handling of the V-6, but the power of the V-8. I
thought that in these economic times with insurance costs and all the
other stuff, why not do a V-6 with the power of a V-8? That would be a
twin-turbo V-6 with 425 horsepower, something that would handle and be
a little sportier…more European....
As I write this column we’re one week away from a significant motorsport weekend.
The March 13/14 weekend represents the start of the domestic V8 Supercar season in Adelaide and the kick-off of the 2010 FiA World Formula One Championship in Bahrain.
I’m really looking forward to Adelaide. The Clipsal 500 is a great event that spans beyond just a car race and envelops the city with a special vibrancy.

V8 Supercars Australia will today launch its new-look Pedders Safety Car and Pedders Course Car at the opening event of the 2010 V8 Supercar Championship Series – the Yas V8 400 at Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi.
The addition of the new Safety Car and Course Car to the V8 Supercar fleet, provided by Ford and Holden to lead the V8 Supercar field throughout the 2010 season, coincides with V8 Supercars’ spectacular debut at Yas Marina Circuit as well as the sport’s first night race.
The Pedders Safety Car and Pedders Course Car feature slick new liveries incorporating V8 Supercar’s ‘Greatest Show on Wheels’ brand campaign and Pedders branding, while they both have been equipped with Pedders SportsRyder suspension kits.
I’m sitting on the 5th floor of my hotel in Abu Dhabi staring at the
$1.3 billion US dollar race track facility called the Yas Marina
circuit.

unfortunately!)
