Hayman Reese Towing Products

Hayman Reese has an extensive range of quality engineered standard towbars. Each towbar is identified with a compliance plate with the model identifications, the trailer weight and ball weight capacities. Standard towbars are supplied with a bolt on towing tongue as shown below.

 

 
The Hayman Reese towbar must have a capacity that exceeds the loaded weight of the trailer you are intending to tow. Therefore you must check the rating of the towbar and the vehicles rated towing capacity which is included in the towing section of the cars handbook.

There are several types of towbars available through Pedders Suspension from Hayman Reese:
• Class 2 or Standard Towbars
• Class 3 or RL (Reese Little) Towbars
• Class 4 or Heavy Duty Towbar

Hayman Reese Class 2 or Standard Towbars

   

Hayman Reese Class 2 or standard towbars are basic light weight towing units. For example: small 6 x 4 trailers. They are often rated for up to 1250kg. Towbar Installation can be arranged at your local Pedders Suspension outlet.

  

Hayman Reese Class 3 or RL (Reese Little) Towbars

Hayman Reese Class 3 or RL (Reese Little) Towbars are designed for basic light weight towing applications such as small 6 x 4 trailers. They are often rated up to 1600kg. These towbars come with the convenience of a removable trailer ball mount which can be stored when not in use. A 40mm square tube is used with a similar design to the Hayman Reese heavy duty range. Class 3 bars give you all the benefits of a class 4 bar but are generally designed for vehicles that do not have the towing capacity which require a class 4 design. Hayman Reese Class 4 or Heavy Duty Towbar

Hayman Reese Class 4 or heavy duty towbars are designed for heavy duty towing. They are ideal for large trailers, boats, horse floats and are also mandatory for most caravans. A majority of them are in fact rated to the vehicle manufacturers maximum towing capacity. Class 4 or heavy duty towbars from Hayman Reese also come with a convenient TBM (tow ball mount) which can easily be removed from the vehicle when not in use. This helps save those shins and knee caps from being injured, plus ensuring the number plate is not obscured and resulting in unwanted fines. A 50mm square tube which is compatible with all Hayman Reese accessories is also supplied. Another added benefit to the range of class 4 heavy duty towbars from Hayman Reese is that they are also compatible with Hayman Reese weight distribution hitches.
