eXtreme VE Holden Commodore
eXtreme VE Powers On
August 2011 Update
Pedders eXtreme VE took on some more horse power with its 3rd dyno run and tune at Horse Power Factory. With its Harrop Stealth Force Supercharger, Crow Cam, Powerbond Harmonic Supercharger Balancer, Pacemaker Exhaust, eXtreme Clutch, PBR Brakes & Bendix Pads all put in place it was time to unlock the cars potential.
Our 3rd run revealed 345KW at the rear wheels. A pleasing result for the car. That result converts to 456HP at the rear wheels. You could say we are close to 600HP at the fly wheel. That’s some awesome power to be had.
Our resident Rally Car driver Will Orders took the car through its paces at a recent track day held at Phillip Island with our friends at the Horse Power Factory. The car recorded some lap times around the 1min 55sec mark on a set of street legal tyres. That’s a respectable time for a road car. Our speed at the end of the straight was around the 230kmh mark. Very impressive.
Weeks later we took the car out again for a track day at Calder Park Raceway with our friends at Harrop Engineering. No set times were recorded but the car managed a whopping 260kmh down the end of the straight. Will Orders suggests that the engine tweaks have been for the better. The exhaust note is reminiscent of a V8 Supercar. The new eXtreme Clutch is great with good pedal feel.
This month we welcome Penrite Oil as an official sponsor. We have been supplied with some oil and lubricant to suit the working components of the car. Penrite offers a better class of oil and is a great match for our better class of Commodore.

As we head into the warmer months, the car will venture out to do some more track days along with us collecting some more sponsors along the way. We are working on another track day being held at Phillip Island and will also post the results on our website once we have the data. A special video showcasing the cars story is also planned and we hope to bring to you in the comings months.
