eXtreme VE update

With the custom paint job & body work, 20x10 inch rims/tyres, custom-matt black vinyl graphics (courtesy of Fleetmark), Harrop Stealth Force Supercharger all being applied to the Pedders eXtreme VE it was now time to do our first dyno run at HPF. The first dyno run revealed around 275kw at the rear wheels.

There was a tremendous sense of power now to be extracted from the engine having fitted the Harrop Stealth Force Supercharger.  The engine just pulled from down low right up to the redline. At last we had some grunt! The first run on the dyno was conservative in terms of the gains.  We suspected a bad batch of fuel at the time and didn’t have time to clear it and coordinate another run.  Instead we opted to leave all this for another day and wait to fit a proper exhaust system from Pace Maker along with a lumpy Cam from Crow Cams and a Harmonic Supercharger Balancer from PowerBond.

On the road the car felt more like an angry beast just wanting more.  The whine of the Harrop Stealth Force Supercharger as you progress through the rev range gives you a sense confidence. With even more gains to be had in terms of power we look forward to our next dyno session.  But at this point we were are very happy with the massive gains we got from the supercharger.  It was just a question of harnessing and finessing those gains to extract as much power as we can on the next run.

Have a look at the photos on our progress.  Check in soon to see the next stage of mods where we fit the cam, supercharger balancer and the exhaust.  HPF suspect that we should be able to push around 315kw at the rear wheels and even more if we crank up the boost.
